Fon-Ting Lui
My name is Fon-Ting Lui and I am currently a third-year student studying Psychology and Sociology in the University of Limerick. I completed the Hidden Mind Course in 2017 during a gap year that I took before attending college,
as I was only seventeen at the time. My mom is a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner, so I am constantly surrounded by the techniques, mindset and energy that goes with a course like the Hidden Mind. She completed the first Hidden Mind Course with Tom Griffin in 2013, which was the primary inspiration for me partaking in the programme, before developing my own individual love for holistic work as the months went by. This course was the best decision I could have made during my gap year and it helped greatly with my self-development. In general, attending such a high standard course while being the youngest member by several years was intimidating. The course gave me a lot of self-confidence in that respect which better prepared me for the step into university. The Hidden Mind Course challenges you to delve deeper into your awareness of energy, both yours and others, while using techniques to dowse for answers. It was a fascinating experience and I most definitely surprised myself in how accurate and in-tune I could be.
We would often practice with the other members of the class, however a vital moment for me was when we were instructed to work on complete strangers. This is when my ability to retrieve such accurate information and use the given protocol to solve the issues that were carried with this information, really surprised and excited me.
It was then that I truly understood the power of the Hidden Mind programme and realised that this is a line of work that is a possibility for me in the future. The biology aspects that we learned during the course have been extremely helpful in the psychology aspect of my university course. The Hidden Mind Course has also given me a different perspective on the causes/reasons behind illnesses and disorders than those that are considered in mainstream psychology. This has allowed me to bring a fresh perspective to the discussions had within lectures and tutorials, making people think outside of the box.
