Jonah (age 7) - Heart defect from birth
"We first went to see Tom after a mutual friends put is in contact. To be honest, Jonah was so medically complex and with a very poor prognosis for outcome from neurology dept. in Crumlin Children’s Hospital that we didn’t hold any sort of expectation but were more than willing to try.
On our first meeting with Tom, we didn’t get into all the background history but told him some of the forefront issues very poor sleep – sedative necessary to get any length greater than 20mins of sleep and terrible gastric and tummy issues resulting in Jonah feeling miserable and crying on average 20 out of 24 Hrs. a day.
Tom spoke to us as he worked on Jonah and told us not to be surprised if Jonah fell asleep then and there. We both smiled to ourselves knowing the conditions necessary for Jonah to fall asleep as he always seemed in a heightened state of alert and in general discomfort that falling asleep could never come easy to him, that even boiling a kettle in the kitchen was enough noise for Jonah, never mind banging on a sound bowl as Tom was doing! But to our great surprise Jonah closed his eyes surrounded by the deep vibrations and stayed asleep while Tom continued to work on him. We were in disbelief and my immediate thought was to get a Tibetan bowl to have at home! But I knew there was more than just the sound vibrations at work here. Tom didn’t put is hands on Jonah but moved around and worked on him while he sat or lay on my lap. Jonah wasn’t necessarily co-operative in staying still, but Tom moved with him and continued his work regardless of Jonah’s state which was a big relief to me as I knew Jonah was not a child to hold still.
We were back for 3 consecutive days after the 1st session and by the end of the 3 sessions we could see a positive change in Jonah. Close family remarked how he was more aware of them and others in his surroundings afterwards. He made eye contact with us frequently after that and maintained eye contact something he had not been able to do beforehand. Over the years we have returned to Tom for more Bio-Energy and always come away feeling that the sessions have been of benefit to Jonah.
Jonah has made huge strides and defied the outcomes expected of him. He has learned to walk and can eat soft foods by mouth when these milestones were put out of reach for him after suffering an out of hospital cardiac arrest. I have no doubt that HiddenMind and Bio-Energy intervention has helped Jonah get to these goals and we will continue to attend Tom and his team to see what the future holds in store for Jonah."
